In the upper part, it retains numerous remains from the Roman period: the remains of a temple, the theater, and a thermal complex, of which a <em data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"305\">frigidarium<\/em> survives, preserving a splendid 2nd-century AD floor mosaic made of black and white tesserae depicting figures from the marine world.<\/p><p data-start=\"443\" data-end=\"821\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Built upon the layout of the Roman city, the medieval urban structure developed with squares and noble palaces.
